The owners of newcomer Rocket Coffeebar are no strangers to the food and beverage industry, and it shows from the second you walk in the door. From the meticulously designed Euro-styled interior to the sophisticated branding and sumptuous menu, the owners haven’t put a foot wrong. And the coffee? Amazing.
Rocket Coffeebar serves Synesso Espresso and pour-over, with a selection of single origin and blended single origin beans. They’ve gone for arguably the best beans in Bangkok too – supplied by none other than Roots. I tried the Burundi single origin Espresso, and the pairing of these beans with the Synesso Hydra really shines; only slight acidity with a really strong burst of blueberry and a very light and fresh palate overall.
Regularly packed out on weekends, Rocket is fast becoming a Bangkok institution, up there with the likes of Roast. This is no doubt due to their luxurious atmosphere and that they, like Roast, provide the complete package: gorgeous surroundings, a large selection of excellent and adventurous food, and backed up by what I would rate as top-five coffee in Bangkok.
Rocket create their own eclectic selection of artisan baked goods in house, and they are well worth trying. I didn’t get to sample the menu yet, but I’ll be back here for brunch very soon. I highly recommend this place for it’s atmosphere, high quality coffee and bold menu.
